Aquaguard: The Water Leak Detection System

Sump Alarms & Water Leak
Detection Systems

Protect your home or business from damage by water leakage caused by: ruptured pipes and hoses, overflowing drains, floor & wall cracks, and sump pump failures using the Aquaguard Leak Detection Systems. Prevent, or at least limit, the damage that is often the result of unseen and normally undetected leaks, drips, infiltration, appliance failure, etc. Getting an early warning of a water leak can mean all the difference on the extent of the water damage and on how to correct it. Taking care of a small leak when it is still small is key to reduction of cost, lowering of insurance claims, and the out-of-pocket expenses associated with water damage. Get the peace of mind you need by placing the Aquaguard Leak Detection System at the strategic spots around the basement, and sleep restfully, knowing that an alarm will sound if there is a problem.

Sump Level Alarm

Aquaguard Sump Level Alarm showing all the parts Here is a simple, inexpensive sump alarm to keep an eye on your sump without having to go look at it every day! The float can be set to sound the alarm when the water goes above its normal level. The unit is plugged in so you don't have to worry about it losing power. If the power does go out, there is a battery backup built right in so the alarm can still work.

Features:

Simple installation
Battery backup
Silence and test buttons right on the front
Easy push-in connectors for the float cable
15 Feet of float cable
Cable tie to hold float at correct level
Built-in contacts for connection to your security system

Sensor Tape Model AST-5

This is really a 5 foot long flexible sensor. Other alarm systems use similar technology in their more sophisticated systems, but we have reduced the cost and simplified the installation to make it more user-friendly.

Remote Alarm Buzzer Model BZ-1

Looks like an ordinary electrical wall plate and the wiring can be either hidden inside the wall or exposed on the surface (all low voltage). This buzzer can then be placed in a remote area where it is more likely to be heard when it sounds, like a kitchen of a home or a control room in a commercial application.

Point Water Sensor Model 1040

This is a basic water sensor used with the WB-800 for monitoring trouble spots. These water sensors are typically placed on the floor or inside a cabinet that needs to be monitored for water leaks. Two of these sensors can be connected to EACH circuit, if desired, giving you the potential of having up to 16 sensors attached to this system. These sensors are about the size of a credit card, but about 1/2" thick with four metal contacts on the bottom and a wire to connect to the controller. Additional leader wire can be added to the sensor wire to reach the area as needed. These sensors can be glued down or attached with two-faced adhesive pads to prevent movement. Do not use on a metal floor as contact with the metal will cause false alarms.

Under-carpet Sensor Model 1041

This is a specially designed flat sensor for use with Aquaguard Model WB-800 system. This individual sensor detects water and signals the controller to sound the alarm, just like the point sensor described above, except that it is a flat, low-profile sensor that slides right under a carpet and doesn't really show.

Automatic water shut-off valve Model ASV

Polypropylene or Brass in sizes that range from 3/4" up to 3". These can be incorporated into the WB-800 system in order to shut off water automatically when any of the circuits detect water. For example, the sensor under the hot water tank or the washing machine detects water and sounds the alarm. It also sends a signal to the Automatic shut-off valve to close, minimizing the leak. The best way to handle this application would be to place the Automatic Shut-off Valve on the main water line entering the building and a leak detection of any of those systems would turn it off.

A personal testimony: Could this happen to you?

"Six years ago while we were away for a camping trip, the nut that holds the supply line to our upstairs faucet busted. We came home to a destroyed house. We estimate that 10,000 gallons of water ran through our home. The damage was over $50,000.The three months we spent re-building our home were the worst we’d ever spent. If only we’d known about Aquaguard."

Chuck and Betsy S., Lancaster NY

Aquaguard Leak Detection System could have saved this couple from all this damage and hassle. With the Automatic Shut-off Valve in place and Aquaguard installed in their home, it is unlikely that the broken water line would have gone unnoticed for long. Once detected, the valve would have closed and the water stopped. It would have stayed off until they returned home. There may have been some damage, but it would have been very limited.

Water Damage: Water leaks cause serious damage to homes and businesses every year. Millions, no Billions, of dollars in physical damage and lost time on the job occur and we have the technology to limit that damage. Today. We can help by providing you with Leak Detection Equipment, an early warning system that could prevent a large amount of this damage. When you combine detection and early warning with automatic shut-off devices, you can cover even more. We've talked to many people who have said the same thing. "I just need an affordable product that can set off an alarm when water is leaking somewhere in my house. With all the technology we have, isn't there some product that can automatically turn off my house water supply when it detects that a pipe or appliance is leaking?"

The answer is the Aquaguard Leak Detection System.

The Problem:  A leaky pipe quietly does its damage to your home without you even knowing about it until it's too late. A washing machine hose bursts while you are at work and floods the basement or laundry room, or more. The ice maker tube cracks slightly, quietly leaking every time it goes on and water ruins the floor, unseen, and unnoticed, until it's too late. The hot water tank begins to drip and water is soaking into your carpet or the items you have stored nearby. Your sump pump dies in the middle of the night and without a warning system or backup sump pump in place, your basement is ruined. Can you prevent all these things from happening? Probably not. But you can do something about it now to prevent as much of the damage as possible.

The Solution: Aquaguard. You can install an early-warning system to limit the damage and prevent it from spreading. Instead of costing thousands of dollars (or more) in damage and countless hours (dollars) of lost time, you can install a reasonably-priced leak detection system to warn you of these kinds of problems. With the right optional equipment added on, the Aquaguard Leak Detection Systems can alert you that a problem exists, turn the water off, and even work in conjunction with your security system or building management system to get help!

Each model comes with a 30 day money back guarantee to take the risk out of your purchase. Each system is easy to install, can be adapted to your situation, and WB-800 can be fitted with one or more optional add-on features as described above
