The
Premium Water Powered Backup Sump Pump
|
Basepump
is an extremely reliable, very powerful, water powered backup sump pump
system. With no battery to wear out or maintain, no charger to plug in or
monitor, it is designed as an automatic, independent system from the
primary sump pump. Basepump is essentially in a class by itself. Mounted on the ceiling,
high above the sump, it doesn't have to fight the
downward force of the water that most competitors' pumps must push up vertically. For
this reason, Basepump consistently removes more water per hour than other water
powered backup sump pumps and even rivals the best battery powered backup
sump pumps, short- and long- term. Period. So instead of a flooded
basement because of a sump pump failure or a power failure, install a water powered Basepump backup sump pump before it happens. Each
Basepump comes with an independent, battery operated water alarm
at no extra charge!

Theory of Operation:
- The water in your sump pit goes above normal for whatever reason:
the float stuck against the side of the sump, or the power failed, or
there's just
too much water to handle.
- A second float mounted above the normal high water level, is
lifted when the water rises too high.
- This activates a valve, sending municipal water under pressure through the
Basepump Ejector.
- Acting like a giant soda straw, it draws the sump
water up from the sump pit and ejects it to the outdoors.
- As the water is
removed from the pit, the float returns to its lowest level, and after a
pre-set period of time, the pumping stops until the water rises
above normal again.

This chart simply means that if you have the given water pressure in
your home, with all faucets and Basepump turned OFF, the pumping rates
shown in this chart are the rates you should expect from the model you
choose. The pumping rate in your home may vary depending on factors such as restrictions in your water lines or long
discharge pipe runs, whether vertical or horizontal. |

Install Basepump water powered backup sump pump using a
No-Sweat; solder free, water supply connection system and take the fear out of the installation
process and save a mountain of time! These are push type fittings
suitable for piping into your existing
copper, CPVC, or PEX system; no special tools are needed. If you have a pair of
channel pliers and a
tubing cutter, you can tackle this job. Secure, leak-free connections are made in a moment,
saving loads of time. Keep in mind that when you buy these
fittings, that is what you are buying: TIME!! You are buying the confidence to do this
job yourself at a minimal cost.
No torch, No crimping tools, No wrenches, No soldering paste or flux, No burned
fingers, No fire hazards, No frustrating leaks, No smelly adhesives, No
solder or other disposable materials. Just fast, easy, secure
connections; simply push together and move on. Each
kit comes with ferrule inserts to reinforce PEX and CPVC tubing. These are
used to prevent plastic pipe wall from pressing inward at each fitting. Just push the PEX or CPVC (with ferrule inserted) or the copper tubing
(without ferrule) into the fitting and
as you do it reaches a positive "bottom" position and is
sealed, right then and there. You can then turn the fittings if needed to line them up
properly. Just follow the easy directions that come with the kit. They
can even be disassembled if you make a mistake!
Flexible stainless steel tubing included!!
Flexible stainless steel pipe section with female threaded fittings on each end.
It looks just like a gas stove connector, but is rated for potable
water. The fittings on each end swivel like a union so you don't need
a separate union fitting. This can be threaded right onto the male threaded nipple that goes
into the Basepump and the other end, a female threaded opening, can
receive the male adapter from the kit to then convert to copper or PEX
to get the rest of the way back to your tee-in point on your main water
line. All of this means less work for you and more time to do other
things. It may even be the difference between doing it yourself or
hiring a plumber to do it. It usually eliminates the need for extra
fittings, because it can be twisted and turned in many ways to fit. The
3/4" flexible line is 18" long and the 1/2" line is
30" long. |

Some states and municipalities recommend
or require some form of back-flow device whenever potable water could be compromised in any way by ground water or
other contaminants. Regardless of how remote the possibility of this
occurring, the installer of such a product may be required to add such a device
to the installation. To install: connect this to the water
supply end of the Basepump and insert a male adapter into the other end.
